Admission Application Deadlines
The admissions process selects highly qualified applicants into the MS programby considering each of the following criteria in judging the overall strengthof the applicant. Typically, no single criterion is used as a sole determinantfor admission. * A relevant, earned baccalaureate degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, information systems, informatics, or other computer-related field of study. Minimally, students should have earned 15-18 credit hours of computational coursework. Students with insufficient academic preparation, in the faculty’s judgment, may be conditionally admitted but required to develop additional computing competencies by enrolling in designated undergraduate courses prior to undertaking their graduate study. * An undergraduate grade point average of 3.00 or better (on a 4.00 scale) from accredited institutions is required for unconditional admission. * Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores at or above the 50th percentile (for each test subsection) are required for unconditional admission. There is no minimum score expectation. The GRE is not waived for admission to this program. * Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for international applicants whose first language is not English and who have not graduated from a university or college using English as the language of instruction. The following minimum scores are required for the Internet-based TOEFL: Overall 90, Reading 20, Listening 20, Speaking 20, and Writing 20. For the paper-based TOEFL, the minimum score is 600. * Demonstration of a high level of competence in written communication as evidenced by a writing sample such as the statement of purpose, a prior thesis, a research paper, or other significant and personally written product. * Personal and professional characteristics commensurate with success in the computer and information technology profession. Note: the faculty evaluators may also require a personal interview, usually byphone.

Items to be Included in an Complete Admission Application
Applicants must submit the following items to create a complete applicationpackage suitable for review. * Required: Purdue University Graduate College On-Line Application Form along with the application fee as specified. NOTE: When applying you must specify Computer and Information Technology asyour requested program. Computer and Information Technology is NOT the same asComputer Science. * Required: Official GRE scores, submitted electronically to Purdue University. Use the institution code, 1631. NOTE: You can apply for admission without the GRE scores; however, the GREscores must be submitted prior to formal application consideration. * Required: Official TOEFL scores (Test of English as a Foreign Language), submitted electronically to Purdue University. Use institution code 1631. TOEFL scores are only required for international applicants whose first language is not English, or who have not graduated from a university or college using English as the language of instruction. * Required: Computer & Information Technology will accept unofficial transcripts and/or academic documents uploaded through the online application system for review purposes. However, you will need to provide official transcripts and/or academic records at the request of Computer & Information Technology, or if you are recommended for admission. * Required: A detailed, reflective Statement of Purpose highlighting career goals, capabilities to be developed, and a self assessment highlighting both strengths and weaknesses. You may also reflect on any irregularities or special circumstances applicable to your background, or elaborate on your special abilities, awards, achievements, publications, and/or professional history. * Required: At least three letters of recommendation from faculty or individuals with an earned masters or doctoral degree. These letters should attest to the applicant’s potential for successful graduate study. The university requires use of a standard form followed by the recommender’s statement. * Required: A detailed resume’ or vita that describes your education, work history, significant skills, etc. * Recommended: A writing sample that documents a high level of competence in written communication such as a prior thesis, research paper or report, or other significant personally written product.
These programs have two options—a thesis option and a course work option. Acommon requirement for each option is 24 hours of core courses.
Master of Science in Computer Engineering
Within the online application system, applicants must provide generalinformation including educational history details, as well as the followingspecific program requirements. Applicants must also request officialtranscripts, and any required graduate test and language proficiency officialscores, be sent to WMU.

The accelerated graduate degree program allows qualified undergraduatestudents in the computer engineering program to complete requirements for themaster’s degree at an accelerated pace. Currently, earning 129 undergraduatecredit hours is required to receive a bachelor’s degree. The master’s degreerequirement is 33 graduate credit hours with the non-thesis option, or 30hours with the thesis option. In either case, at least 15 hours must be takenat the 6000-level. Having enrolled in the AGDP a student may count up to 12credit hours of 5000-level courses taken during their undergraduate studies atWMU toward a master’s degree in computer engineering. Full-time students maybe able to complete both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a five-yeartime period.

This statement(double-spaced and between 500 – 1500 words) should demonstrate yourcommunication skills and writing competence.
Museum of Cycladic Art Summer Internship
Program Dates: June 3-July 3, 2020 Application Deadline: March 5, 2020Applications are now closed.Arrivals: June 1, 2020 Departures: July 5, 2020 Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:30am-4:30pmThis program is offered in collaboration with the Museum of Cycladic Art.The Center for Hellenic Studies (CHS) seeks a Harvard College or HarvardGraduate student to work as an intern at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens,Greece. This program is meant to familiarize interns with the activitiesperformed in a museum environment, and to provide high-quality professionaltraining. The Harvard intern will work in collaboration with another intern,curators, museum educators, and communication experts, and will be assignedspecific tasks to accomplish within a period of 5 weeks.The 2020 internship program will mainly involve training in the CuratorialDepartment of the Museum. Interns will actively participate in the preparationof the exhibition project which will be undertaken by their assigned museumcurator. Added to this, they will undertake to create the concept and contentfor interviews/presentations on subjects connected to the Museum’s interests,which will be used as podcasts broadcasted through the Museum’s website.Finally, they will be trained in the procedure of registering and archivingantiquities and they will be involved in the work of digitization andorganization of the Museum’s Library and Photographic Archive in appropriatedigital databases.In addition to their main task, interns will have the chance to give dailytours of the Cycladic collection in English for the public, following adequateinstruction by the curators, and will spend time in other departments in orderto learn about the different functions of the Museum.At the end of the program, the intern will submit both to MCA and CHS a briefreport of activities and an evaluation of the program.
